Explaining IDD codes and country codes

  IDD Codes are codes used for calling people from different countries. IDD stands for International Direct Dialing. Country Codes are codes given to each country to connect to that place when calling. 

I am going to be calling Japan.

1. You type in the USA exit code 001 and the Country Code 49.

2.Type the Japan area code which is 81.

3. Then dial the phone number.

That is how you make a call to Japan.
